Janae Johnson

Janae Johnson has always had a strong desire to join the beauty industry. Following her childhood dreams, for the past 7 years, Janae has flourished her dreams in to a career. In the short 7 years in the hair industry, she has accolades thousands dream of, and very few get to celebrate.

In 2005, while attending Taylor Andrews Academy, Janae took a great artistic leap in the industry by entering the Student Hairstylist of the Year at NAHA. Her vision landed her nomination and finalist spot that year. Immediately following her graduation, she joined the team at Lunatic Fringe. Growing up through her career path with Lunatic Fringe, Janae now dresses the locks of Salt Lake City. A quick two years later, she was honored to take the position as Artistic Director for Lunatic Fringe. Janae leads the Lunatic Fringe Artistic Team, that has landed numerous publications both nationally and internationally, and also produces the annual non-profit organization charity event 'Giving Back is the New Black' alongside Paul Mitchell Schools. Continuously surprising her surrounding teammates, Janae Johnson was awarded Best Artistic Hair Design in Salt Lake City for 2009.

Janae continues to set new goals and generate new photo collections for the industry, coaching new talents, training her artistic team, and being a mentor for Lunatic Fringe hair dressers.
